We are based in Birmingham City Centre, within the Birmingham Hippodrome Campus.

FABRIC hosts 3 strands for the National Centres for Advanced Training (CAT) in dance:

  • Contemporary styles – for young people based in the East Midlands
  • Contemporary styles – for young people based in the West Midlands
  • South Asian styles (Yuva Gati) – for young people from throughout the UK

AGE RANGE:

For young people aged between 11-18 years

FABRIC Centre for Advanced Training, West Midlands is a fully inclusive programme and support is available for young people with disabilities or those who may have additional access needs.

CORE CURRICULUM:

Classes are held on Saturdays during term time and intensive projects are held during school holidays. Students also have the opportunity to access a mid-week training session in one of the established local youth dance companies that we support. Our students regularly work with some of the UK’s most inspiring dance professionals and collaborate with international dance artists to explore various classical and contemporary techniques alongside choreography and creative processes.

How to get involved:

Entry to the FABRIC Centre for Advanced Training programme is via admissions workshops only. Admissions workshops are held annually, in the summer for entry onto the programme the following September.

We have several opportunities available for young people throughout the year to gain more experience, learn more about the programme, including school workshops, Open Days and more.
