The Place CAT Admission Workshops

If you have a passion for dance and want to take it to the next level, this is your chance to apply to join the CAT Programme at The Place.

To join CAT you must fill out an Application Form and attend an Admissions Workshop at The Place.

During the admissions workshop, applicants will take part in a 2-hour practical workshop in front of a small panel following an informative presentation on our Programme. Parents and carers are invited to attend the presentation on CAT with your child.  Following the Admission Workshops, you may be invited to attend an informal interview at The Place so we can find out a little bit more about each other.

No previous dance experience is necessary other than passion, commitment, creativity and a hunger to learn.

At The Place CAT, we have 2 possible pathways: The Place CAT Programme or CAT Associate.  In some circumstances the panel may decide that you will be more suited to our CAT Associate Programme.  This might be because we feel you need a little more of a foundation in technical training, that you are not quite ready for the rigours of the programme, or that we simply do not have the space.  This is something we will discuss with you when an offer is made.  Many students progress from our CAT Associate Programme onto CAT so it it still a huge achievement to be offered this opportunity.  Click here for more information on the CAT Associates.
