HEALTHY YOUNG DANCERS | GUIDANCE NETWORK ADVOCATE TRAINING

Thursday 1 February – 10am – 1pm

FREE

Suitable for group leaders, dance teachers, private ballet schools, and anyone else who works with young dancers.

In partnership with the DanceEast Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) and the GuiDANCE Network.

This half-day workshop and training event will provide dance teachers with an opportunity to learn about the latest developments and best practice in supporting healthy development and promoting health and wellbeing for children and young people in dance, with a specific focus on adolescence. This training is specifically designed to prepare dance teachers to share learning with peers – and to become advocates for the GuiDANCE Network and the work of DanceEast. Pre-requisites for attending include a basic understanding of the topic of growth and development (either through experience or previous training).

The session will be led by Dr Siobhan Mitchell (University of Exeter) and Imogen Knight.

More information about the GuiDANCE Network can be found here.
