Northern School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD) Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) Programme Taster Day – Saturday 18 April 2026
Our Taster Day is designed to give young people a real insight into what it’s like to train as part of the CAT programme at the NSCD. These events are ideal for anyone considering applying for the programme and wanting to experience the environment, meet the people involved, and learn more about the training pathway.
The day offers a welcoming introduction for both young people and their parents or guardians. You’ll have the opportunity to explore our building, observe current students in action, and take part in a practical dance sessions to get a taste of the training offered on the programme.
What to expect on the day:

Introduction to CAT – Learn about the Centre for Advanced Training programme at NSCD, including how the training works, what students study, and how the programme supports progression into dance training and careers.
